Tumbling into the previously impenetrable past,
We grope for the tables and chairs and faces
That for years have cluttered our darkened stage.
The continuous repeating of remembered lines
Finally begins to clear the distorting haze,
And with the glaring footlights rise
All remaining shadows quickly dissolve
Into the emerging childhood scenes.

Opening life’s long forgotten doors,
Today, we begin to experience
All that existed then, within.
Backward, we patiently follow the thread,
Methodically untying each encountered knot,
And eventually arrive at life’s inception;
Only to find it loosely tied to another string,
As yet unrecognizable as The Thread of Life.
